Every stitch tells a story. Every sale funds a seat.
In the heart of Kampala, a quiet revolution unfolds every day, one bag at a time. At Zetu, we’re not just crafting backpacks. We’re threading purpose into every fibre, stitching stories that stretch from Ugandan workshops to classrooms across the country.
Meet Daniel: The Hands Behind Your Zetu Bag
Daniel Nakimera is one of our lead artisans. He started sewing at 16, inspired by his mother, who sold fabric at the Owino market. Today, at 29, Daniel is designing bags that journey around the globe—bags that don’t just carry your gear but carry hope.
“When I make a Zetu bag,” Daniel says, “I think about the student who will sit more comfortably in class because of it. That makes my work feel big.”
Daniel’s favourite creation? The Green Explorer, a bold tribute to East Africa’s sun and soil. It’s not just a bestseller; it’s also the design that helped fund 300 SeatPacks last quarter alone.

SeatPacks in Action: A 15% Boost in Attendance
At Alijoda Primary School in Ogoko, Madi-Okollo, Northern Uganda., Headmaster Omondi shared what happened after our last SeatPack drop-off:
“We’ve seen a 15% increase in attendance. Students feel seen. They’re no longer fighting over seats or sitting on the floor.”
Photos from the day show grinning students testing their new SeatPacks, some even wearing them indoors, reluctant to take them off. These aren’t just bags. They’re dignity, mobility, and access.

The Why Behind the Bag
Every buckle we reinforce, every recycled thread we weave, is grounded in a simple belief: education is a right, not a luxury. And durability isn’t just good design, it’s a promise that this SeatPack will support a child for years.
When you carry a Zetu bag, you’re carrying that belief with you. Whether you’re navigating your commute (like Ava), travelling ethically (like Liam), or investing in purpose (like Priya), your bag becomes a beacon of shared impact.
